Construction Spotlight: Vallejo Navigation Center

In Vallejo, construction is underway for a vital solution to the rising homelessness crisis in Solano County: the Vallejo Navigation Center. Spearheaded by G&G Builders, this project aims to provide shelter and support services to those in need, strategically focusing on swift construction utilizing innovative Sprung Structures.

Addressing a Critical Need

With homelessness on the rise in Solano County, the Vallejo Navigation Center is a vital response to provide shelter and support services to those in need. This center, constructed using innovative Sprung Structures, will offer 125 shelter beds. Beyond just providing beds, the center will deliver essential services such as case management, medical assistance, job training, and social resources.

Community Collaboration

The journey to bring the Vallejo Navigation Center to fruition has been years in the making. Through perseverance and dedication, community members have worked to move this project down the pipeline. It took communication, cooperation, and coordination between the city, county, state, and nongovernmental organizations like G&G Builders and our colleagues at Sprung Structures to bring the project to life. Despite facing setbacks and challenges, the groundbreaking ceremony marks a milestone in the collaborative efforts of various organizations and community leaders. Funding for the project was provided by a coalition of entities, including the City of Vallejo, the County of Solano, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, and healthcare providers like Kaiser Permanente and NorthBay Health.
