June Construction Updates

Update at the Vallejo Navigation Center

We’re making significant construction progress in Solano County, where the Vallejo Navigation Center is taking shape. Utilizing innovative Sprung Structures, our pre-fabricated construction expertise has been critical as we work to complete this project by the end of the year. The concrete slabs were recently poured, and the structures have arrived on site and are starting to take shape.

Utilizing Sprung Structures ensures that this project will be completed swiftly and efficiently, soon providing 125 shelter beds to those in need of housing. The center, in addition to providing beds, will be a hub for essential services such as case management, medical assistance, job training, and social resources. These services are designed to make a real difference in the lives of the community members in need. These prefabricated structures offer several advantages, including quick delivery and construction, low cost, limited foundation requirements, and flexible design, making these structures easily adaptable to the needs of the project.

As construction progresses, we are proud to be playing a key part in bringing this project to life, adding another successful pre-fabricated project to our portfolio of work.

Update at the Stockton Navigation Center

We're excited to share progress on the Stockton Navigation Center, another of our prefabricated structures currently under construction. Despite weather-related delays and other challenges, construction is moving forward.

This unique three-story facility is constructed from 42 shipping containers, featuring accessible sleeping quarters with on-site bathrooms and a laundry facility. The use of shipping containers at the Navigation Center offered major advantages not only in terms of  efficiency and ease of construction, but also in the case of sustainability and durability. Each shipping container arrived on site fully constructed, pre-inspected, and ready for assembly. With construction back on track, the shelter will soon serve as many as 300 people per night.
