G&G Builders is a small company that does big things. We value a high standard of quality, honesty, and ownership in everything we do, and we’re here to get work done (and done right). So long as that’s the case, we’re all for having fun and working smarter, not harder.
Our office culture can be described as “Casual California,” according to our owner, Gerard Callahan. We wear flip-flops to the office, and we don’t stay until 5 p.m. if there’s no reason to. Many companies in the construction industry fixate on small, unimportant details, creating an unenjoyable environment where employees feel stuck, micromanaged, and burnt out. We don’t want that. We show up on time, communicate with clients frequently, and meet our deadlines, but we never want our team members to feel afraid in their job.

On the field, we expect our crews to be professional, respectful, and get the job done, but we’re also adamant about giving them breaks, high-quality tools and trucks, and the freedom to have fun and be their truest selves. We believe that if we cultivate a positive workplace culture, our team will take genuine pride in their work and produce great results - and they do.

We will never sacrifice the quality of our work and service, no matter how much fun we’re having on the job. From our first phone call with a client to the finishing touches on any given project, we stay on top of our game and keep our process streamlined. The team camaraderie we've built over the years strengthens the work we do, as well as our communication within our team. Being able to communicate efficiently and effectively about our projects and daily tasks is huge in accomplishing our goals, and we accredit that to the friendships and team spirit our team members have developed with each other over the years.

Building G&G Builders from the ground up was not an easy journey by any means, but it was so worth it. We take great pride in every project we’ve had the honor of working on ever since we started serving the Bay Area in ‘98, and doing it alongside friends who’ve become family makes it all the more special.
