Building Stronger Communities: Pre-Fabricated Housing Solutions

Homelessness continues to be a pressing issue in many California communities, and the need for safe and dignified housing solutions has never been more critical. At G&G Builders, we are dedicated to making a positive impact through our work. With a focus on building stronger communities, we have paired our expertise in pre-fabricated building structures and public works construction to provide housing solutions that offer a sense of dignity and hope to the communities they serve. With construction underway at the Stockton Center for the Homeless and a new housing community in the works, we are excited to expand our portfolio of pre-fabricated homeless shelters.

A New Tiny Cabins Community

G&G’s recent project, a Tiny Cabins Community in San Francisco, is currently in the early phase of design. This innovative project aims to provide a sustainable solution for individuals experiencing homelessness. Made up of 65 buildings in total, the Tiny Cabins Community will consist of three different sizes of pre-fabricated structures, all constructed by Boss Cubez. The Boss Cubez product is high quality, affordable, and easy to assemble with an innovative ‘built-on-site system.’ The tiny cabins are designed using a panelized system that locks together, making for a fast and efficient assembly process. By utilizing these pre-fabricated structures, G&G Builders can expedite the construction process while ensuring the highest quality standards.

The Stockton Center for the Homeless

We have been hard at work on the construction of the Stockton Center for the Homeless, a three-story structure built out of 42 shipping containers. Each shipping container arrived on site fully constructed inside and out, pre-inspected, and ready for assembly. This streamlined process significantly accelerated the project’s timeline. With construction expected to be completed early this summer, the shelter will soon serve as many as 300 people per night.

Building Stronger Communities

At G&G, we aim to provide not only physical housing but also hope, dignity, and support. By creating spaces that foster a sense of community, we can contribute to the social fabric of our cities. These shelters will provide safe and comfortable living spaces, promoting stability and offering a stepping stone toward long-term housing solutions. By combining our expertise in prefab construction with a compassionate approach, we continue working toward making a lasting impact on our communities.
